Today I thought that I would write about camping and cooking. We like to camp with several of our good friends, and do a lot of gourmet cooking on the campfire. I have several good recipes and would like to share with you. The first one is Black Forest Cake. We got this recipe from some canoers many years ago.

DOWN RIVER BLACK FOREST CAKE

• 1 Box yellow cake mix
• 1 box chocolate cake mix
• 1 stick butter
• 1can of cherries (pitted) do not get pie filling for you need the juice from the cherries

1. Add the cake mixes,butter and cherries in an aluminum Dutch Oven.
2. Place on about 20 hot coals, and add about 30 hot coals on top.
3. About 30 minutes check on the cake. Add more coals if needed
4. the cake will be gooey and delicious

It Has been a While

It has been a while since I have written on this blog. I thought that I would update this even though nobody reads this blog but me. I added a picture of two wonderful people in my life and me.
